The dedication put forth by our volunteers has always been one of the cornerstones of our organization, and we’re looking for you to help us make this event a success!

Since 1989, The African American Health Coalition, Inc. (AAHC) has consistently advanced health outcomes within Portland’s African American community through an innovative community based approach to health and well being.

National health organizations, academic federal, state and local government agencies routinely seek the expertise of AAHC to educate providers, employers and community members on effective ways to improve community health outcomes.

We invite you to explore our Programs, understand our legacy or participate in the next community event. You can also contribute to the community’s health and well being through sponsorship or volunteering.

Our Mission

is to promote health and improve wellness among Oregon’s African American community through health education, advocacy and research.

Our Vision

is to be the healthiest African American community in the nation.

Our Goal

is to reconfigure health and social services to meet the needs of African Americans.
